Update on the development of new Practice Standards for SIL

The NDIS is currently developing new Practice Standards for Supported Independent Living (SIL) to strengthen quality, safety, and outcomes for participants.

This work began in 2023 and has continued throughout 2024/25. It reflects what we have heard from participants, providers, advocates, and technical experts during consultation sessions, as well as the recommendations of the NDIS Review, the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation of People with Disability (DRC), and the NDIS Provider and Worker Review Taskforce.
